WWRB's Rate Card

Radio Station WWRB does not use radio brokers or advertising agencies, allowing us to deal directly with our broadcasters so we do not have to "inflate" our rates to cover advertising agencies/radio brokers' costly commissions. We do not employ gimmicks such as ramp-up rates--starting off low to entice you to sign a contract that will eventually force you to pay substantially inflated rates--or force our religious broadcasters to sign contracts. You stay for as long as the Lord leads you to stay. If you feel more comfortable with a contract or your Church needs one, Radio Station WWRB is more than happy to work with you to satisfy all of your needs.

Commercial broadcasters on WWRB are required to sign WWRB's standard broadcasting contract. For more information, an overview of Radio Station WWRB's commercial broadcasting policies can be downloaded here (pdf file).

WWRB asks its religious broadcasters to manage their own broadcasting accounts, which saves over $70,000 per year in administrative costs. This savings--amounting to about $25 per broadcast hour--is then directly passed to our religious broadcasters; this is in keeping in good stewardship, allowing ministry dollars to be used for "soul winning" rather than consumed by administrative costs. WWRB has noted that the easiest way to stay on this "honor system" is for broadcasters to pay for each month in advance or to send their payments with their broadcast tapes/CDs. Your canceled check is your receipt.

WWRB is client oriented. The cost to lease a transmitter 24 hours a day/7 days a week for your religious organization is $25,000 per month. You provide the program audio via telephone feed, internet, satellite, or tin-can with a string (just kidding) and we provide the rest. Call our Frequency Coordinators after 8 PM eastern time at (931) 728-6087 to reserve your transmitter!

There is no need for expensive recorders or costly equipment; we simplify the entire process to three easy steps.

  1. Purchase a tape cassette recorder and a handheld microphone. Please don't use the cassette recorder's built-in microphone, as it will pick up noise from the cassette recorder's motor. Both microphone and cassette recorder can be purchased inexpensively at your local RadioShack or Wal-mart.
  2. Record your program to a cassette tape (we also accept CDs recorded in the Red Book audio standard format; call us for additional details.) Think of your shortwave audience as weekly guests, like regular attendees of a Bible study group, fellow Christians seeking the Lord. Keep in mind that the shortwave audience is a wary audience, often having gone through significant spiritual abuse: only through honesty, integrity, and consistency will you gain their trust.
  3. Send your program cassette tape and program payment to Radio Station WWRB. It's as easy as that to become a world wide broadcaster on WWRB! Our professional staff is more than happy to answer whatever questions you may have, or provide suggestions and guidance for your broadcasts. For more information, call us after 8:00 PM eastern time at (931) 728-6087.

The base minimum setup to air with us is a telephone and your voice. If you prefer not to go live, all that is needed is a cassette or CD recorder. Don't worry about introduction music or sound effects; the shortwave audience is just interested in the message. Just be yourself and let the LORD handle the rest.
